So I married into a large family and with a large family we have lots of babies, so we are always hosting baby showers. This is a book that I made for the most recent baby shower and it's filled with advice that the guest wrote for the new mom to be. This is such a precious gift for a new mom.

OK this is my WOW project for the week!! Today's SCS challenge was to use something small, it could be anything. Sooooo I went into my craft room and saw my fabric that I have been wanting to use FOREVER and I knew I was going to use the mini alpha from SU and thought that could be my mini!!! So a couple hours later here it is!!! I am soooo proud of this and even though if my mom say it she would have a heart attack (she is a professional seamstress) but I like how imperfect it is. So what do you think??
While doing this I forgot how much I LOVE stamping on fabric!!! I love the look and that I can take any fabric and make it new and different by using a few stamps!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!
So what in world is this??? Well if you are familiar with Dave Ramsey then you will know that this is my version of the envelope system. Our family only uses cash, if we don't have cash we don't buy it. So these are our "envelopes". The phrase on the front can mean to go extreme and buy things regardless of money but this is a reminder to me to buy things that I have the money for. I just think everything fits perfect. And I can wash it too!!!

I wanted to show visually what you get when you purchase from Unity. Now please understand that this is not a bash session on SU I love SU and am and have been a demonstrator for way over 2 years now. I will always be a faithful consumer of them!! So please understand that I just wanted to visually show what Unity offers. So now that thats out of the way, I just wanted to show you the deep etched rubber, the size, the value of these stamps.
So I wanted to compare the Wild About You set from SU and the Wild and Crazy set from Unity. Now the Unity stamps in this set come Un-Mounted (not all the Unity sets are Un-Mounted check the details on the web site) and come in cute little organza bags, the packaging is amazing!! I never thought that the deep etched rubber of SU could get much deeper but Unity found a way to do that, it's incredible, and you don't have to cut out your own rubber, SU is catching up on this one though ; )
The size of these stamps are perfect for both scrapbooking and card making. I have used all my sets for both cards and scrapbooks. These stamps have really United both worlds. And the storage space that I am saving with Unity is amazing!! I can fit 25 Unity sets in the space that 5 SU sets used to hold.
So if they are Un-Mounted what do you do?? Well if your a cheapo like I am and at first thought that the Unity handles were not necessary (I wanted to make sure that I really liked Unity before I poured more money them) I used the plastic plates from my Cuttlebug. You can use anything clear that is plastic or glass that you can see through: a glass plate, a plastic throw away plate, the bottom of a glass, you get the idea, anything that it will cling to. BUT all that said for a person that has never bought a acrylic block because they looked so uncomfortable and didn't want to spend the money I broke down and bought the handles from Unity they are truly amazing and work with every set they make. Handle C will work with most of the Unity stamps for only $17.00. Blah Blah Blah just get one you will be soooo impressed and love it!!
The value of the stamps is amazing!! This whole set is only $16.00!!!! That ends up being only $1.45 per stamp!!! I don't know any other company that has that great of value for Red Rubber HUGE stamps like this. Angela is such an amazing owner too, the best customer service ever!! I will always be a lover of both these companies (Su and Unity) but, now it's just a competition of the sets!! So I hope this helps you see a little more about my new obsession and that you will take the dive and take advantage of Angela's generosity and purchase some stamps NOW!!!
This card was made for a wedding that we went to recently, the wedding colors were red white and black. I love the image, I don't have many people stamps, most are flower or doodles.
Since finding Unity I haven't used my SU stamps much so I feel a clean out coming soon. Stay tuned to a HUGE sale of my stamps!!
